You’re Home is the lifelong dream of owner, Cathy Carchidi. Cathy’s working career, spanning 20+ years, included time in human resources, law, and business management. Her career change came about as a result of a life-threatening illness, which caused her to seek her true calling.
Cathy had a mid-life “aha” moment when she realized that she needed to work in a more creative field. She attended New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk, and set about gaining experience in the design field. Today she has over 9 years of design experience, including stints at a Wellesley design firm specializing in custom window treatments and furniture and a management position overseeing a residential design department for a major furniture retailer. She has also designed and managed numerous kitchen and bath renovations. Cathy’s philosophy about interior design has been realized in her new business venture: keep it simple, give her clients gentle guidance, deliver what they ask for, and offer excellent service.
Melinda Guglietta

Melinda Guglietta is the newest member of You’re Home. Melinda started her career in an architectural firm, where she discovered her true passion for the more artistic aspects of interior design. Building upon her technical training and experience in architecture, the transition into residential interior design was an easy one. Now with six years of design experience, Melinda has developed a collaborative approach to the design process, making her clients feel at ease. She has a BS in Architecture from the University of Hartford and also received training in interior design at the Art Institute in Florida. She moved to the Boston area in 1999 and currently resides in Shrewsbury with her husband, Mike.
Donna Duquette

After a successful career working in administration and operations management in several corporate consulting firms, Donna experienced a variety of work and personal challenges that altered her life and led her to step back and reassess her values and career alternatives. After much reflection and soul searching, she realized that her values and work ethics were now more aligned with working in a small, fun, entrepreneurial workplace where she could make significant contributions to a young company’s ongoing growth and success. You’re Home was the perfect fit and working in a woman-owned business that is passionate about meeting the individual needs of many clients seeking something unique was an additional attraction for her.
Donna brings considerable business and human resources management experience together with strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills to her office management role. She holds a B.A in Business Administration from Assumption College.
Wendy Brune
Design Assistant

Wendy, too, arrived in the field of interior design as a result of a dramatic career change. Formerly an advertising account manager, Wendy decided she had had enough of daydreaming about being an interior designer and decided to find a way to turn her dream into a reality.
As a student at Rhode Island School of Design, Wendy has mastered the art of drawing and drafting her creations, from built-in cabinetry to fine window treatments. And, as an apprentice to You're Home's principal designer, Cathy Carchidi, Wendy's formal education serves her well while she gains practical experience in all aspects of interior design.
